The advantage of this funding type is that you have more freedom to apply to various universities (more choices).

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Sure, you can enroll in a degree program with English as the medium of instruction or a 1-year Mandarin language program starting from scratch. However, Elite Linguistic Academy still recommends that you learn the basics of Mandarin, especially everyday vocabulary, to make it easier for you to adapt in China later on.

The HSK certificate is a Mandarin language proficiency exam certificate organized by Hanban, known in full as the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (汉语水平考试).

Currently, the HSK exam is divided into two types: the HSK exam (listening, reading, writing) and the HSKK exam (speaking). However, these exams are now bundled as follows:

  • HSK 1
  • HSK 2
  • HSK 3 + HSKK Beginner
  • HSK 4 + HSKK Intermediate
  • HSK 5 + HSKK Advanced
  • HSK 6 + HSKK Advanced

Note: The HSKK exam can be taken separately without the HSK exam, but the HSK exam cannot be taken separately as it is bundled with the HSKK exam.

The HSK certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of the HSK exam listed on the certificate.

Teachers/Laoshi at Elite Linguistic Academy come from diverse backgrounds, including native Chinese speakers and Singaporeans, depending on the Mandarin proficiency level being taught.

Generally, the distribution of teachers in Group Classes is as follows:

HSK 3: Singaporean Teachers/Native Chinese
HSK 4-6: Native Chinese

Usually, it’s divided into Down Payment and Full Payment.
Down Payment 30-40% (depending on the program), is paid when you decide to register for a study in China with Elite Linguistic Academy.
Full Payment is made when you have received an admission notice/letter of acceptance from the university.
